#18 Love Inks - Regular Lovers

This 'more than just minimalism' track is taken from their third album EXI, out 08.09.14 on Republic of Music.

What I love about 'Regular Lovers' is the way it sneaks up on you, creating maximum impact with minimal instrumentation, before fading away into the fog. What also cuts Love Inks apart from other minimalist indie peers is the slight swagger everything is delivered with; I think it's because they're from Austin, but I don't have any facts to back that up with.

It's all so delicate and sincere, and there's nowhere to hide in tunes like this. It's a lot of emotion for so little emoting.

NO ONE CARES WHAT YOU THINK, BUT LEAVE A COMMENT ANYWAY

Rekindle all your Avril Lavigne angst with the new double single from King Princess.

Platypus Complex' debut single writhes around your noggin, which is exactly what we'd hoped to hear from these desert-driven psychedelic instrumentalists.

Southend meets Salerno, or is it Portsmouth meets Puglia, who knows? Wherever you are this summer the ride is relentless.
