#19 Pale - Two Wrongs

'Two Wrongs' is the first of four future pop classics to be released on Pale's humbly titled, The Come Back EP. Out 08.09.14 as a self-release.

Emotional, futuristic, but eighties influenced; the Pale boys are back after a nine month writing stint. If you haven't heard them before, 'Two Wrongs' is as good an introduction as any. The drum sounds could be from Japan's version of 'I Second That Emotion', the bass line is painfully simple, but the emotion in the vocals and the way the track swells and growls give it a sensuality. Their writing is timeless; classic and modern at once.

Apparently the self-released EP will also contain a "crucial visual element", co-created by Pale themselves and the artist Christopher Orlando Page. From what I can gather, Page is a minimalistic canvas based artist that mostly paints really beautiful doors... so no clue what the visualisations will be, but I think minimalism and timelessness are a pretty safe bet if you're the gambling kind.

Although The Come Back EP will only contain four songs, if they're anything like this it will be worth the wait.
