Demob Happy - 'Suffer You' music video

Demob Happy were born in Newcastle, hail from Brighton and debut 'Suffer You', with a video as spaced out as the double-tracked vocals.

Listening to 'Suffer You', I would say that Demob Happy have got garage punk, Pearl Jam and Pink Floyd under their skin (and I mean that honestly, it's not just because of the alliteration). I could tell you they've got 'energy' or that they're 'new' and 'exciting', but at the end of the day this is just a great song that I like listening to, by a band I hadn't heard of before, and I'm interested in what their other songs will sound like.

We're loving this garage punk / psych revival, because it's spitting out such individual bands, and although eventually it will surely slow into the oily swill that indie (what does that even mean anymore) rock did, but for now life is good. When Demob Happy's first ever headline tour comes to my town, we'll be there.

Rekindle all your Avril Lavigne angst with the new double single from King Princess.

Platypus Complex' debut single writhes around your noggin, which is exactly what we'd hoped to hear from these desert-driven psychedelic instrumentalists.

Southend meets Salerno, or is it Portsmouth meets Puglia, who knows? Wherever you are this summer the ride is relentless.
