See You In Reno

Chelmsford quartet, See You In Reno, have just released a banger of a track called ‘Check’.

Packed to the brim with heavy riffs and gut-wrenching vocals, SYIR can easily be likened to early Lower Than Atlantis. SYIR are raw, intense and ready to explode.

Raw Meat: Tell us about your local music scene; what’s your favourite local venue, are there any record labels or stores we should look up?
See You In Reno: We have one dedicated live music venue in the ‘city’ of Chelmsford called Asylum, and it’s bloody great! As for labels and stores we don’t have anything particularly cutting edge, partly due to being so close to London. Although Chelmsford does do well with bands; we’ve got stuff like Secret Company, Villians, Hey Vanity and much, much more.

Name one track or band that you love from the past.
It has to be Poison The Well. I don’t think you can go wrong with ‘Apathy Is A Cold Body’.

Name one track or band that you’re loving right now.
'The Hell' by Groovehammer. I heard it on Alex Bakers Unsigned Show and it’s been in my head ever since.

Name one track or band that we should be listening out for in future.
I can’t wait to listen to the new album offerings from He is Legend and Pulled Apart By Horses.

What are you up to now?
We’ve just released our first single, ‘Check’ from our upcoming EP called Masks which is due for release on 11.08.14.

What can we expect from you next?
We’re putting together ideas for the next video, which will be for a song taken from the EP. In the meantime it’s all about booking up and gigging anywhere and everywhere.
