Sweat Threats - suffocate

Latest (third) single from Sweat Threats is a post-punk party and everyone's invited. The duo are also announcing a debut EP.

Sweat Threats are releasing a six-track EP and we're pretty excited about it. Officially the EP, Sweet Treats will be released on Cassette Store Day, 13/10/18 on Wonky Karousel Records, but we've got our fingers crossed that a few copies might find their way onto the merch table at Raw Meat Live this Wednesday.

Everything we've heard from Sweat Threats so far is one triumph after another. 'suffocate' is a development of their style. It's a high energy open with hot-feedback and heavy riffs, while an old-school grunge double-tracked vocal drops into a half speed breakdown. They're giving themselves more space to play around with melodies and generally thrash about. It's a post-punk, post-grunge onslaught, and we can't get enough.

A band that started as a joke and supported Ty Segal off just four singles; Duncan Clark finds out which members of the un-pigeonhole-able Los Bitchos would bang Travis Barker.

Ghost Town Remedy provide an unashamedly guilt-free, riff-filled, blissful tonic to the eternal drudge of 2020.
