TONSTARTSSBANDHT - Sorcerer

On their new single, 'Sorcerer', TONSTARTSSBANDHT are perhaps at their most accessible, despite the intimidating size of this nine-minute song.

Brothers Edwin and Andy White have dabbled in a wide gamut of avant-garde and rock styles from suicide-derived, droning proto-punk, to lightning bolt-inspired noise, even lo-fi indie-pop.

Beginning with a lovely falsetto, sodden with reverb, some tape hissing and ambient noise speckle the delicately plucked chords for 'Sorcerer’s intimate introduction. The eventual ascent gives us a danceable journey of a psych-jam. Blending fuzzy psychedelia with classic-rock riffs; equal part All Things Must Pass and Spacemen 3.

Expect their new LP, also called Sorcerer, on 24.03.17 via Mexican Summer.

NO ONE CARES WHAT YOU THINK, BUT LEAVE A COMMENT ANYWAY

If Sabbath is God, then does that make Fuzz Jesus? Duncan Clark works it out with multi-instrumentalist Charles Moothart; the bad penny of every psych garage band you already love.

A band that started as a joke and supported Ty Segal off just four singles; Duncan Clark finds out which members of the un-pigeonhole-able Los Bitchos would bang Travis Barker.

Ghost Town Remedy provide an unashamedly guilt-free, riff-filled, blissful tonic to the eternal drudge of 2020.
