Alvvays - 'Next of Kin' music video

Alvvays make the kind of slack-founded dream pop that drives us absolutely wild.

These Canadians are also kicking off 2015 with a headline tour that includes nine dates in the UK. Single 'Next of Kin' is out now.

It's been a pretty big year for Alvvays and their loveable breezy indie pop - with radio play and a debut showered with praise. Their other single 'Marry Me Archie' got me hooked, and the sweetness of 'Next of Kin' has had a similar effect; the lightness of the vocals and the watery guitar riffs covering some pretty dark lyrics. The video itself was directed by Connor Gilhooly and combines filmed footage with stop frame animation, paintings and drawings.
