With obvious Smiths influences and jangling guitars aplenty, it’s no surprise that this video from High Hazels draws upon a British Summer seaside visit, viewed through the golden hue of nostalgia. There are elements of dreamy poetry wound around Northern Soul bass lines and James Leesley’s melancholy vocal delivery. Scott Howes provides reverb-drenched guitar, and brothers Paul and Anthony are the rhythm section.

Quartet, High Hazels are from Handsworth in Sheffield and released their debut EP In The Half Light on 7.04.14 with Heist Or Hit Records.
