We've been tracking Honey Lung's progress since seeing them live at The Monarch in Camden, and, as promised, we bring you their debut single, 'Something'.
The band have jumped up the guitar melodies and perfected those angrily hissing cymbals to create a single that's as post-grunge as it is nineties space. The sweet verses are successfully stomped all over by the scorching choruses, and as the screaming guitar riffs drag everything together over unexpectedly thrashy drum beats the combination rings true. It's unexpectedly Smashing Pumpkins, and energising to listen to. This is their first release from the upcoming five-track EP.
Honey Lung have already confirmed the below gigs, but we're told that there are more to be announced.
13/07/16 - Notting Hill Arts Club w/Fish Tank
23/07/16 - Are You Listening? Weekender - Oakford Social Club, Reading
26/07/16 - Single launch party - The Old Blue Last
