introducing:

Sasha Siem

Sasha Siem blends experimental trip-hop with solemn undertones to create a whole other world of infinite darkness and intrigue. It's a thing of beauty that cannot be ignored.

Undoubtedly when listening to Sasha Siem, thoughts go rushing back to Portishead and Massive Attack. However, there's a sinister edge to Sasha that brings her into the modern era; hear her latest single 'Crows' below, and see just why we fell in love with her.

Raw Meat: Tell us about your local music scene; what's your favourite local venue, are there any record labels or stores we should that we should look up, what's the scene like where you're from?
Sasha Siem: London is in bloom. To cherry-pick... Cafe Oto in Dalston is a favourite. Then there's Southbank, Barbican, Roundhouse. I'd love to play the Albert Hall. For vinyl, my closest is Rough Trade East, but I also like popping into Harold Moores in Soho. I've recently started a label, Blue Plum Records. We've got some crazy releases in the works so keep an eye out...

What are you up to now?
Freezing on the set of my new music video in Iceland. I've just sung my new single 'CROW' with a Raven on my arm.

What can we expect from you next?
A swan song. Rebirth.

Way back in 2015 we asked Plastic Mermaids the only questions that matter.

There's more than a little nostalgia in the power-psych of Fez. We asked them the all important questions just in time for the release of their latest single.

Krush Puppies' latest medieval-tinged murder ballad is a grubby, fuzzy attention-grabber.
