The New Tarot

New York based sister duo The New Tarot are defying genres and taking us all for a ride.

Their Talking Heads odd side is let to run loose as and when they see fit, as the band jump between predictable writing, subverted by killer lyrics and synth space-outs. They're unique

RAW MEAT: Tell us about your local music scene; what’s your favourite local venue, are there any record labels or stores that we should look up, what’s the scene like where you're from?
THE NEW TAROT:
We love Le Poisson Rouge, Arlene's Grocery and Baby's All Right. New York is what you make of it! We grew up playing down the street from our house at a local coffee shop that would let high school bands play on the weekends. That's the crowd my heart's still playin to.

Name one track or band that you love from the past.
I have been listening to lots of Morphine lately, I'm Free is one of my favorites.

Name one track or band that you're loving right now.
Childish Gambino's new stuff is killaaaaa.

What are you up to now?
Putting the finishing touches on our album and looking forward to the year ahead! Now it's time to write some more!

What can we expect from you next?
Our first album is coming sometime early this year. Get ready for an alien-themed space-fuelled poli sci-fi mystical experience!

Lo-fi and dripping in attitude, The Paranoyds' debut album tore a hole through our 2019 without even breaking a sweat.

Midlands punks, BLOOD-VISIONS battle between the comfort of a tight-knit community and the suffocation of small town blues on their self-titled EP.
