Flesh

Flesh are a Mancunian four-piece that make a feature of the tell-tale Manchester drawl and combine influences from both of Brit pop's king pins Oasis and Blur.

Flesh write guitar driven, anthemic songs with a straightforward, no bull shit approach. They're more pop than punk, but that doesn't stop them whittling the 'angry yob' act down to an art.

Raw Meat: Tell us about your local music scene; what’s your favourite local venue?
Fresh: Favourite at the moment is Soup Kitchen, was ace when we supported King Tuff there, been to some bangin' club nights there - afrobeat n' shit. And the scran is top.

Are there any record labels or stores we should look up?
We don't buy vinyl, we steal all our music illegally, not on utorrent though, in real life.

What’s the scene like where you’re from?
Thrives, all the local support has been the shit.

Name one track or band that you love from the past.
All of David Bowie's jungle album Earthling.

Name one track or band that you’re loving right now.
'Trini Dem Girls' by Nicki Minaj.

Name one track or band that you think we should listening out for in the future.
DJ Hvad, breakcore-bhangra-gabber straight outta Copenhagen.

What are you up to now?
Homebrewing algae bio-diesel to get our wheels round Europe in June.

STALKER RESOURCES:

NO ONE CARES WHAT YOU THINK, BUT LEAVE A COMMENT ANYWAY

It took roughly 20 seconds for us to fall madly in love with Pabst and their latest single 'Skyline'. A band that takes mid 90s Britpop and put it through a grunge-grinder.

Brighton three-piece, Something Leather are poised to release their debut EP Midnight Reverie, filled with anxiety, darkness and psychedelic rock through a modern lens.

A long time love of Raw Meat, Catholic Action are about to release their second album. So we thought it about time we got to know them better.
