introducing:

Gravey

We spoke to Gravey to get the low down ahead of their gig at our very own Halloween party with Roadkill Records this weekend.

Gravey write dreamy rage indie with wavey guitars, lo-fi vocals and big energy sweeps. They're intense, brooding and we love what they're about. Which is exactly why they're playing our Halloween show this Saturday.

RAW MEAT: Tell us about your local music scene; what’s your favourite local venue, are there any record labels or stores that we should look up, what’s the scene like where you're from?
GRAVEY: The scene in South London has always been crazy diverse and there's loads of really creative people, a lot of people just making really good music just for a laugh as well. It can be a struggle because rents expensive and all the good venues keep shutting because there's no support from local councils. The Windmill is probably one of the best venues that still exists in South.

Name one track or band that you love from the past.
Nick: The Wipers - 'Window Shop For Love'
Soraya: Hot Chocolate - 'Emma'
Sian: The Breeders - 'Glorious'

Name one track or band that you're loving right now.
Nick: Show Me The Body - 'One Train'
Soraya: Bootsy Collins - 'I'd Rather Be With You'
Sian: Dilly Dally - 'Desire'

Name one track or band that you think we should be listening out for in the future.
Cossacks, Boys of the Hole, Bitch Hunt and The Fallen Sky

What are you up to now?
Just trying to keep our shit together.

What can we expect from you next?
A new single coming soon.

Come see Gravey play live at our Halloween party! We're back at the Shacklewell Arms in East London with Roadkill Records for a fun-filled evening of horror, Saturday 26/10/19.

NO ONE CARES WHAT YOU THINK, BUT LEAVE A COMMENT ANYWAY

Way back in 2015 we asked Plastic Mermaids the only questions that matter.

There's more than a little nostalgia in the power-psych of Fez. We asked them the all important questions just in time for the release of their latest single.

Krush Puppies' latest medieval-tinged murder ballad is a grubby, fuzzy attention-grabber.
