With a debut track produced by Spring Kings' Tarek Musa and a somewhat melodramatic self-penned biog; introducing, Trudy.

Trudy's breathless vocals and Libertine song structure shuffle together in an intimate but bittersweet pop band hit that would have turned the Maccabees green with envy in their early days.

RAW MEAT: Tell us about your local music scene; what’s your favourite local venue, are there any record labels or stores we should look up, what’s the scene like where you’re from?
Trudy: Brudenell Social Club’s a hotspot: top bands, good sound, free pool. Jumbo’s great, but we just usually go for the gig listings. Crash Records has a great second hand collection to peruse downstairs, same with Relics if you like a dig. We’ve never really found a scene but we’re sure one exists. We have faith.

Name one track/band that you love from the past.
The Flamingos - 'Lover Never Say Goodbye'.
It’s so spooky, it takes you away with it and leaves you feeling melancholy in the sweetest way. The harmonies are from a different planet, one of our fave oldies.

Name one track/band that you’re loving right now.
Future Islands - 'Fall From Grace'.
It’s honest and packed full of MEAT. Love it when he screams.

Name one track/band that you think we should listening out for in the future.
Her's.
Gloomy but grooving, combining eighties style bass lines with dreamy finger picked guitar and a sultry baritone vocal, this new track from our good buddies Her's is gonna be spinning out of our speakers for months to come.

What are you up to now?
In bed with a sore throat.

What can we expect from you next?
Get up, make a Lemsip.
